Conservative campus activist Kyle Bristow announces plans for "Catch an Illegal Immigrant Day" by Jess Lipowski
Kyle Bristow, a sophomore in James Madison College, is a conservative Republican who founded Young Americans for Freedom (YAF on campus. He has caused controversy recently for his announcement that his group will host “Catch an Illegal Immigrant Day.” Bristow, from Clinton Township, Michigan, says he is working to promote the pro-life cause, support the troops overseas and improve society’s values. Some of his goals in working for Associated Students of Michigan State University (ASMSU) this year include eliminating all homosexual student organizations, opposing Planned Parenthood and reducing the amount of taxes ASMSU receive from students. On his Facebook profile, Bristow includes the quote, “If you burn our flag, wrap yourself in it first.” The two-part video interview with Bristow provides an in-depth view of what he hopes to accomplish on this campus, in Michigan and in the country.
