The MSU State Swing Society will appear at the Dance-Nic

The student-run Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention team needs your help to help victims of sexual assault. One option is to pledge money (click here to download the pledge form).

Another option is to donate personal items (shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush, hand lotion, etc.) for sexual assault victims who are relocated. (There is a collection bin in Club 181 on the first floor of the Comm Arts Building.)

You can turn in your pledges and donations and join SACI for free pizza, pop and ice cream at the Dance-Nic on Wed., April 19 from noon to 1:30 p.m. (details below).

SACI operates out of the MSU Counseling Center. The student volunteers have been trained to provide advocacy to sexual assault survivors. SACI volunteers serve as hotline advocates, medical advocates and peer advocates. SACI provides sexual assault education year-round on the MSU campus. (Click here to learn more.)

This year's event is being organized by the students in CAS 492 - Strategic Grant-Writing and Fund-Raising. Their goal is to help SACI help others, while encouraging the faculty, staff and students in Comm Arts to celebrate achieving a common goal.

WHAT: Celebrate the Comm Arts pledge drive for SACI (join us for free pizza, pop, and ice cream - first-come/first-serve). The event also features a dance demonstration by the State Swing Society.

WHEN: Wed, April 19 - Noon - 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Top of the parking ramp behind the Comm Arts Building (Ramp 5 - corner of Trowbridge and Red Cedar)
