Been dating since: September 2, 2005

How they met:
Lauren: I met her roommate and her roommate told her to IM me. We talked for most of the afternoon and then we went to a movie with a bunch of friends.
Meggie: That was the first time she was really meeting people.

Who made the first move?
Meggie: It was sort of a mutual effort, because I was busy cuddling her and not letting go of her because I didn’t want her to go to class. So I didn’t know she was trying to kiss me, but when I did let go, she said “look up” and kissed me.

How they spend their couple time: Taking naps, watching movies, playing pool, getting sushi. They also go to Potter Park Zoo, Ssushi-ya, Cosi's and Cabella’s.

Shared interests: Music, food, cuddling, pool, poker.

Favorite memory as a couple:
Meggie: I liked it when she came over to my house for the first time, but it felt like she’d been over a million times before. My little brother asked if she could be my sister and I said I’d work on it.
Lauren: I guess I would have to say when I took her to the zoo and I surprised her and she didn’t know where we going until we got there.

Struggles they've faced as a couple:
Meggie: It really go annoying when everyone started calling us twins because we don’t even look alike.
Lauren: I guess the whole family situation with neither of us being out at home and having to make so many excuses to see each other over the summer.

Valentine's Day plans:
Lauren: We can’t tell you now because we’re keeping it a secret from each other.

Favorite things about the other:
Lauren: I like her eyes. They’re really wide and kind of critical.
Meggie: My favorite thing about Lauren is that she smells so good.

Nicest thing each has done for the other:
Lauren: I was at the music building for the whole day working and having classes… and dying….and she stopped by and brought me food and saved my life.
Meggie: She kidnapped me and took me to the hospital. I hated it, but I was really sick.

Celebrity couple they are most like:
Lauren: I don’t see couples like us portrayed anywhere. Our relationship works out a lot better than most other people our age because we’re more evenly mixed. We don’t take any one side to a stereotype. We have a little bit of everything.
